Ritz Carlton Langkawi Wedding

Having a wedding at Ritz Carlton Langkawi is a dream for many and we get to witness why. This was our last destination wedding assignment just before the Covid-19 corona virus went pandemic causing a global lockdown all over the world. We remembered how Qinzhi & Carolyn booked us very early in 2019 and how we could feel that they were really excited about their wedding in Langkawi when we had our first discussions together.

It was not until the last month just before the wedding, we had our catch up call and we noticed that the couple seem a little upset. It turned out that many of their friends and family could not come to the wedding due to the outbreak of the virus. What was planned for a wedding for hundreds of guests turned out to only 20 of their closest friends and families. Having heard that, we knew that they were upset and feeling really down, but we kept assuring them that the wedding was going to be beautiful. And the fact that it was going to be a very intimate and meaningful time together with their closest friends and family.

We were glad that the couple decided to go ahead with the wedding despite the low turn out instead of just cancelling the whole event.

And boy did the day turned out beautiful! We gave it our best and loved every moment of the wedding. Sometimes when we feel that things don’t go as planned, but in the end it does turn out for the better! So for all the couples out there, please don’t cancel your weddings! You may postponed it to another date when things get better and we know it will get better. Love cannot be cancelled, love must go on! Just be assured that we are always here for you…
